FACILITY RENTALS

The Second City is available for private parties, corporate meetings, and special events of all kinds. We offer a number of theater spaces and classrooms, food and beverage service, customized entertainment and workshops – all under one roof with attached parking, just minutes from the heart of downtown Chicago.

The Second City Mainstage Theater seats up to 290 and is available for both daytime and evening use. Directly next to the Mainstage is The Second City e.t.c. Theater which seats up to 196 and is also available daily and nightly. Each theater comes equipped with a piano, sound and lighting systems, and stage. Beverage and food service is available in both theaters.

Donny’s Skybox is a cabaret theater equipped with a baby grand piano, lighting and sound systems. The de Maat Studio Theater is a more intimate space with an electronic piano. Tables and chairs in the fourth floor lobby that can be used for breakout groups, meetings and receptions.

Classroom spaces in the Training Center may also be available for smaller uses such as rehearsals, auditions or meetings. For more information about rates and availability, call the Training Center office at 312-664-3959.

TRANSPORTATION

The Second City is a short cab ride from downtown and is two blocks east of the Brown Line Sedgwick stop on the El. There are always plenty of cabs available outside the theater when the shows let out.

Driving Directions:
From 90/94, take the North Ave exit east a few miles to Wells St (200 Block) and make a left on Wells.

From Lake Shore Drive, take the North Ave/LaSalle exit. Follow LaSalle around until you hit North Ave. Make a right on North, then make a right on Wells.

PARKING

Parking is available in the Piper’s Alley Self Park garage. We do not validate parking.
