Joel Buxton is a writer, stand-up comedian and sketch performer with the multiple Canadian Comedy Award-winning troupe The Sketchersons. Joel was a two-time finalist in the Toronto Comedy Brawl, the Indiscover Talent Competition, and was the winner of Top Sketch Canada 2012. He has been fortunate to perform stand-up comedy in Chicago and New York, and can be found in Toronto performing at Absolute Comedy, The Rivoli, and Comedy Bar, where he is a producer for the popular Chuckle Co. shows. Joel has written and performed for television, including “Hit or Miss” and “CMT Select,” as well as numerous web-series, including “Last in Space,” and “Contra Friends.” When not performing comedy, Joel sings and plays bass in The Brunswick Project, a musical duo which produces a new song every week and provides music composition for Bite.ca video projects. Joel also provides comedy writing for Bite.ca, Sexy Nerd Girl, and satirical newspaper The Beaverton.
