Ten Dollar Comedy is a weekly showcase featuring some of Chicago’s best improv, stand up, and sketch comedy – all for only $10.
This show is produced and hosted each week by the Top Dollar Comedy, a comedy collective that features a rotating cast who have performed all over the world together and individually. The ensemble includes: Carly Olson, Ed Flynn, Eric Muller, Erin Goldsmith, Jonny Nelson, Peter Corey, & Deanna Ortiz.

Guest Performance,
These non-Second City productions are original works created and produced by guest performers and ensembles. With limited runs, these performances allow for complete creative freedom and may feature artists of any experience level.
Improv,
Characters, scenes, and songs created on the spot by our ensemble and based on your suggestions. You never know what might happen next...and neither do they! An improv show at The Second City is a lively, interactive event featuring the best improvisers in the world.
Rated R,
The Second City gives every show a rating to help patrons understand if content is appropriate for younger audiences. We welcome all guests 13 years of age and older, but minors must be accompanied by an adult. R rating is due to language and inneundo. Our shows take place in a night club atmosphere where alcohol is served.
Sketch Comedy,
A sketch is a short, fully scripted comedy scene. Maybe you call it a “skit” (but we never do). Chicago is the home of modern sketch comedy, and The Second City is at the center of it all.
Stand-up
An always popular form in which a comedian performs their unique brand of comedy, usually with nothing more than a mic and their own courage. If you enjoy a rapid-fire night of jokes and stories, a stand-up show might be the perfect fit.
