Guest Performance
These non-Second City productions are original works created and produced by guest performers and ensembles. With limited runs, these performances allow for complete creative freedom and may feature artists of any experience level.
Improv
Characters, scenes, and songs created on the spot by our ensemble and based on your suggestions. You never know what might happen next...and neither do they! An improv show at The Second City is a lively, interactive event featuring the best improvisers in the world.
Rated R
The Second City gives every show a rating to help patrons understand if content is appropriate for younger audiences. We welcome all guests 13 years of age and older, but minors must be accompanied by an adult. R rating is due to language and inneundo. Our shows take place in a night club atmosphere where alcohol is served.
Stand-up
An always popular form in which a comedian performs their unique brand of comedy, usually with nothing more than a mic and their own courage. If you enjoy a rapid-fire night of jokes and stories, a stand-up show might be the perfect fit.

About the Show

Low Key Lit Thursdays is a new comedy show at the world famous Second City, which will feature improv and stand up comedy acts each week. You can expect some of the biggest names in comedy, locally and nationally, to perform on this amazing show. This is more than a comedy show, it is an experience. An experience, you don’t want to miss.

The Second City provides accessible parking and seating at every performance. Parking is available at 230 W. North Ave. in Piper’s Alley Self Park. We do not validate parking. Each theater is equipped with wheelchair accessible and/or companion seats.
